Human Design is a framework that maps how you are uniquely wired to operate — energetically, mentally, and out in the world. It synthesizes ancient systems (astrology, the I Ching, the Kabbalah, and the Hindu-Brahmin chakra system) with modern science (quantum physics and genetics) to create a highly specific, personalized chart called a BodyGraph.
Think of it less as a personality test and more as an operating manual. It doesn't tell you who you are — it shows you how to navigate through life and reminds you of your strengths and what you are here to contribute.
The goal isn't to fit yourself into a box. It's to provide insight on how you are designed to thrive in all aspects of your life.
Human Design draws on both ancient wisdom traditions and modern science, but it isn't a clinical or peer-reviewed system. It incorporates principles from quantum physics, genetics, and neuroscience alongside astrology, the I Ching, and the Kabbalah — which means it sits at the intersection of the empirical and the experiential.
What I always tell people I havee never seen a framework like this - so approach it like an experiment, not a belief system. Take what resonates and leave what doesn't. Most people find the accuracy of their chart striking — and the practical changes they make based on it even more so. The proof is in how it feels to live it.
Astrology looks at planetary influences on your personality and life path. Myers-Briggs and other survey based systems measure cognitive preferences through self-reported answers. Human Design does something different — it calculates a specific chart from your birth data that shows the mechanics of how your energy actually operates, independent of how you see yourself or what mood you were in when you filled out the questionnaire.
The biggest distinction is the focus on decision-making and energy management. Human Design gives you a concrete strategies to how to navigate your enegery. That practical application is what makes it so useful in day-to-day life.

Birth time matters more in Human Design than in most other systems — even an hour's difference can shift your chart. If you don't have an exact time, check your birth certificate or ask a parent. If you truly can't find it, don't worry — there's still a lot we can work with.
Yes — and it's more common than you'd think. Here's what to do first: check your birth certificate (many list the time), or ask a parent if they remember. Hospitals often record it in their records too.
If you truly can't find it, we can still do meaningful work together. Your energy type and profile often remain consistent even across a window of uncertainty, and much of the core chart holds. I'll note where the ambiguity might affect things and we'll work with what we have. An approximate birth time is better than none at all — even knowing whether you were born in the morning, afternoon, or evening helps narrow things considerably.
Our 90-minute session is a deep dive into your specific chart — not a generic overview. Before we meet, I pull your chart and prepare so we can hit the ground running. During the session, we cover:

A good rule of thumb: the report is a great starting point. It gives you a thorough, personalized written guide to your chart that you can read at your own pace, come back to, and share with people in your life. It's the foundation.
A 1:1 session is for when you want to go deeper — when you've read your report and have questions, when you're navigating a specific decision or transition, or when you learn better through conversation than through reading.
Many people start with the report and then book a session once they've had time to sit with their chart. Others want the conversation first. Either path works.
Almost always, yes — and here's why. How you receive your chart has everything to do with where you are in life when you hear it. A reading you got two years ago often lands completely differently once you've had more lived experience to connect it to.
My approach also tends to be practical and grounded — less about memorizing terminology and more about applying your design to the actual decisions and dynamics in your life right now. If you've gotten a reading before that felt interesting but didn't quite translate into anything useful, that's usually what was missing.

The only thing that's helpful is coming with a sense of what you most want to understand or work through. It doesn't have to be specific: "I feel like I'm constantly exhausted and forcing things" is just as useful a starting point as "I want to understand my undefined emotional center."
